The Last Moment

I haven't had much luck with Veggen so far. The last time I led an expedition there was in September 2018. Although the forecast models predicted clear weather, we were caught in a snowstorm during the climb. Maybe that's why some participants renamed Veggen to the north face of Lhotse. And even though the views were beautiful, it wasn't much for taking pictures. The ascent was also not the easiest. Maybe that's why a fellow "pharmacist" was mumbling something about an anal dry probe during the climb :)

This autumn was supposed to be clear according to the forecasts. And it was. Except for an unpleasant band of clouds that settled on the horizon a little before sunset. Still, there was a gap on the horizon and we had no choice but to hope for a miracle. It finally came, and just before sunset we enjoyed five minutes of beautiful light.
