Burning Mountain Ridges

Here we go – another stunning panorama taken at the photo expedition to Norwegian Lofoten last Autumn. After all, almost a hundred photos of different exposures, focus planes and antireflective images gave a hint that the panorama would not be easy, rather the opposite. But after almost a year of persuasion, I finally gave it a go :)

The photo is from my favourite place that I found myself. There's no road to it, you have to climb on all fours here and there, but the reward is amazing scenery and at the same time there's no risk that the photographer would run into a crowd of fellow photographers or ordinary tourists like in the case of Reinebringen.

The photo has been awarded Honorable Mention at ND Awards 2018, Silver Medal at Tokyo International Foto Awards 2018 and Honorable Mention at Fine Art Photography Awards 2018 in London and at PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris 2019 and Bronze Medal at The EPSON International Pano Awards 2019.

Panorama compiled from total of 96 frames (3-level exposure bracketing of 20 exposures in two rows, antireflective frames, 3-level focus bracketing).

Equipment: Nikon D750, Sigma 24 1.4 ART
